Dr. Paul Canale



Dr. Paul Canale is a post-graduate trained mechanical engineer as well as a board certified and fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon. He received his M.D. degree from the Chicago Medical School in 1985. He graduated from the Wayne State University orthopaedic surgery program in Detroit, Michigan, where he was trained in trauma surgery, pediatric orthopaedics, joint replacement and arthroscopy. He then pursued additional fellowship training in difficult lower extremity reconstruction at the Milwaukee County Medical Center. Dr. Canale has a special interest in joint surgery, sports medicine and difficult lower extremity reconstruction. As the president and lead design engineer for the Canale Engineering Company, Dr. Canale integrates his background in engineering and his advanced surgical training to design and manufacture innovative surgical instruments. Dr. Canale is a past clinical assistant professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and currently serves as an instructor in bioengineering at the University of Nevada. In 2001 Dr. Canale combined his two greatest interests, orthopaedics and motorcycling, to create Team Orthopedics Racing.

Dr. Ernest L. Louk is a native of Kansas and is a five-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Dr. Louk completed four years of undergraduate work at the University of Houston and four years of podiatry school at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. He completed a diabetic foot externship at the University of Texas, San Antonio and a foot trauma externship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Louk completed his residency in foot and ankle surgery at Youngstown, Ohio. Dr. Louk is board certified by both the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics. His special interests are sports orthotics, diabetic foot care, and children's foot derformities.
